Gin Gin and Lúčky Gin won double silver in the London Dry gins category! Every year, Hong Kong hosts Asia’s most prestigious spirits competition, the Cathay Pacific Wine & Spirit Competition.
Hundreds of world producers took part this year at the 13th edition of the competition for a medal in the categories of spirits, wines and beer. The jury consists of gastronomy experts and professional sommeliers.
The official announcement of the competition winners will take place on 1-3. December at the Gala Awards during the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair. Medal-awarded Slovak gins are both produced at Bird Valley Distillery. This is also why we’re very pleased that the gins are following up on the success of the juniper and apricot spirits, which 2 years ago won their categories at the highest rated European competition in London.
Gin Gin is Slovakia’s first premium gin, built on local juniper berries and rare herbs from our region. The special local recipe of Gin Gin is crowned with the quince fruit, which was a symbol of love and fertility in ancient Greece. Lúčky Gin is a craft gin from central European meadows and forests, from fragrant juniper berries and 15 types of hand-picked, wild-growing herbs, spices and fruits.
